This place takes so many different names lol. Jokes aside, we actually liked the food and service here. Starting with the food, it's a fairly authentic Shanghainese menu with some extra Taiwanese items. We ordered the marinated eel, crab meatball, tofu with salted egg yolk, and saltwater duck. All of them tasted authentic and yummy, for which I would return. The price is not crazy expensive (if you live in the Bay Area in 2024 you know what I mean). The service is pretty good. Only minor complaint is it's busy and food doesn't come up very quickly (maybe coz the dishes are cooked to order?). Would highly recommend to anyone looking for some good Shanghainese cuisine.

Amazing food. We got the fried sweet and sour fish with good seasoning. The pork was just alright. I ordered it because I saw a lot of reviews on Yelp. The tofu skin and vege rice are also must try. The best is the XLB. Skin is thin and juicy inside. Hot and fresh when it came out. Lots of seating with plenty of parking outside. Portion is medium. Spent $150 for 4 people. Poor service though. Only one server during weekday dinner. He was literally on the phone the whole time and was sitting at the corner. May come back during weekend to see as it's likely service will be better.

My family came here for a quiet Sunday night dinner and we enjoyed the food and service! Our server was very sweet (in an impatient asian auntie kind of way if that makes sense LOL), chastising the younger servers for not bringing us spoons and making fun of how I packed the leftovers. (Probably easier to understand her good intent if you know Mandarin.) The food is solid, I will say that they have my favorite green onion pancake in South Bay. I have yet to find another restaurant around here that does it as perfectly flaky and crispy how I like it. I didn't even get a picture of it because I was too excited to dig in LOL The XLB and pan fried steamed buns were also very good, super juicy. It wasn't that busy at all when we dined that Sunday night, and we got to admire the nice old-Shanghai decor vibe.

I had a pleasant experience dining here for dinner. Service was quick and friendly. There is parking in the plaza, which can get busy. They provided hot tea immediately upon being seated. The interior is very traditional and vintage, with royal-like curtains and furniture. I tried the Xiao Long Bạo, beef roll and salt and pepper pork cutlet. All three were delicious. The XLB was flavorful and freshly made. The beef roll had a nice crispy exterior and was very savory. The pork cutlet reminded me of popcorn chicken and not oily.
